I’m very grateful to three photographers who have allowed me to use their pictures of Bobby on this site. Below you will find slideshows of their pictures and links to their Flickr accounts where you can see more of their excellent jazz photography.
Firstly here are some picture from Garry Corbett, or Blue Jazz Buddha as he is know on Flickr.

Bobby Wellins with Don Weller nicely out of focus in the background. Bobby is responsible for one of my favourite jazz albums of recent years, `The Satin Album`. Following this gig I had the pleasure of being able to tell him this...

Yes, I know its badly out of focus but sometimes a grabbed shot like this can convey more of the mood of the moment than a nice sharp posed shot can. Lets call it improvisation...

Stan Tracey’s jazz suite “Under Milk Wood”
The undoubted major jazz work ever conceived in the UK, this classic piece is now rarely performed in its entirety. Stan and Bobby, of course both from the original recording in 1965, are joined by Andy and Clark as ever. Narrated extracts for this performance will be read by Ben Tracey, Stan’s grandson who recently collaborated on “A Child’s Xmas” to superb reviews.
